Decry Israel’s resumption of committing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza! Link arms with the resistance of Palestinian Women!

The International Women’s Alliance - U.S. Country Chapter joins the millions across the world crying out against the violation of the ceasefire in Gaza and Israel’s resumption of committing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. In the past 48 hours, already over 400 killings have been committed by Israel’s sudden airstrikes in the Gaza strip – primarily among refugee camps, schools and other areas concentrated with civilians. This attack also follows a 2-week blockade against aid, supplies, electricity and other emergency needs that are vital for the rebuilding of Gaza.

We know that in the shadows of this attack is the U.S. government, and particularly Trump, who has been funding and legitimizing these attacks in the face of rampant human rights violations against the Palestinian people. Since Trump has assumed his position as President, he has frozen federal funding for many different social services that working class women and children are dependent on here in the US such as Medicaid, Social Security and EBT – programs necessary for women to feed their families, access healthcare and meet their everyday needs.

While these federal funding freezes have already led to thousands of women in the US’s daily livelihood being disrupted, Trump has unfrozen $5.3 BILLION dollars for Israel, alongside other countries that are used as proxy or launching pads for US-led war such as Ukraine, Taiwan and the Philippines. This is no coincidence – Trump funnels U.S. tax dollars away from the working class people here and turns it into bombs and bullets used against women and children in Palestine.

Women here in the U.S. stand in resolute solidarity with the women & steadfast people of Palestine who assert their rights to their land & life amid these unrelenting attacks. We stand with Leqaa Kordia, a Palestinian student who was arrested this month by ICE after her involvement in pro-Palestine protests at Columbia University, and Rajani Srinivasan, an Indian student who self-deported after having her Visa revoked for her involvement in pro-Palestine activism.

IWA US member organizations have also been taking to the streets and organizing more women to stand with the people of Palestine. Women Against Military Madness (W.A.M.M) in Minnesota has been holding weekly Free Palestine protests, never backing down in their dedication for a Free Palestine! The Palestinian Feminist Collective, an organization of Palestinian & Arab women committed to the liberation of their people are calling on all of us to continue to take to the streets and demand a full arms embargo!

IWA US links arms with the resistance of Palestinian women from Gaza and all around the world that have been forcibly displaced since 1948 and honor the hundreds of thousands martyred in the struggle for their liberation.
