𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗦-𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁! 𝗨𝗦 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰!

The International Women’s Alliance in Asia Pacific (IWA-AsPac) and GABRIELA Philippines vehemently condemn the continuing assault of the imperialist US and Zionist Israel against the peoples of Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Iran. We stand in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in the Middle East in their struggle for liberation from US-led intervention and aggression.

The Netanyahu government has proven itself to be US’ main machinery in its proxy wars and genocide in the Middle East, in order to secure US’ hegemonic interests in the region. Decades of US-Israel warmongering, direct assaults, invasion, and terroristic attacks against nations and peoples in the region have resulted in countless deaths, displacement, destruction of land, properties, and environment, among others—all to serve US’ quest for control over the rich reserves of oil and other resources in the Middle East. Today’s generation of Lebanese, Syrians, Palestinians, Iranians, and many other Middle Eastern peoples have had their entire families wiped out, their hometowns in rubbles, their women raped, and their children murdered. Present generations have not known peace, but only suffering in the hands of the most powerful global terrorist that is the US and its allies. The US has been the number one instigator of unrest and conflict not only in the Middle East, but also in most parts of the world. As ever, these aggressions have disproportionately impacted civilians and, most especially, vulnerable sectors of women and children. In Lebanon, nearly 800,000 women and girls have added to the hundreds of thousands of Syrians displaced and living in inhumane conditions to flee the recent indiscriminate attacks of US-Israel. The US-Israel genocidal war against Palestinians have likewise resulted in tens of thousands of deaths, injury, and displacement—with the overwhelming majority of victims women and children.

As such, their long history of resistance shall continue on until freedom, sovereignty, and justice finally reign. Asia Pacific women and peoples link arms with the Middle East in the struggle for liberation from the shackles of imperialism. There shall be no peace without justice! US out of Middle East and all of Asia!
